Depost AI is out of beta.

We started building it eight months ago to solve a problem we had ourselves:

We’re not copywriters. But we wanted to build an audience.

It turned out a lot of people were stuck in the same place. They had something worth saying and no reliable way to get it written down and published week after week.

Why We Built Depost AI

Posting consistently is hard, but not for the reason people assume. The writing is not the bottleneck. Deciding what to write is, and so is everything that comes after: making a graphic, picking a time, replying to the comments that follow.

Each step is small. Together they are an hour a day, which nobody has.

So we built a platform that handles the steps and leaves you the decisions. It is trained on hundreds of thousands of high-performing posts, and it learns your voice from what you have already published rather than from a form you fill in.

The Journey So Far

We started small, with a simple idea and a big goal.

Five months ago we shipped the first version, a fairly narrow tool for drafting posts and replies. It was useful, and it taught us the thing we most needed to know: people did not want faster writing. They wanted the whole loop taken off their plate, from figuring out what to post through to knowing whether it worked.

Thousands of people used that first version. Their feedback, and their complaints, are most of what shaped this release.

What’s New in Depost AI 1.0

  • Post creation. Turn plain text, a blog URL, or a half-formed thought into a finished LinkedIn post. Adjust tone and length, and publish when you are happy with it.
  • Content ideation. Ideas in your brand voice, so the week does not start with a blank page.
  • Inspiration library. Over 100,000 high-performing posts, filterable by topic, format, and style, for when you want to see how someone else built an argument.
  • Bookmarks. Save anything worth returning to and organize it by format, tone, and relevance.
  • Repurposing. Turn an old post into a new one with a different angle or format.
  • Post editor. Rewrite, restructure, and adjust tone, with your voice preserved.
  • Scheduling. Write now, publish later, at times your audience is actually reading.
  • Engagement. Replies drafted in your voice for LinkedIn, X, and Reddit. You read them, edit them, and send them yourself.
  • Smart DMs. Context-aware replies to messages that still sound like you, ready for you to send.

The rule we set for ourselves early: nothing goes out that you have not seen. No automated comments, no automated connection requests, no posting on your behalf while you sleep. Those are the behaviors that get LinkedIn accounts restricted, and no amount of convenience is worth that.

What’s Coming Next

This is a starting point, not a finished product. On the list for the coming months:

  • Audio and video to post, so a conversation or a recording becomes a draft
  • Multiple brand voices, for people writing as more than one person
  • A content calendar you can see and plan against
  • Analytics, so what you post next is decided by what already worked
  • Image generation and infographics
  • Workspaces and team collaboration
  • Content agents that plan a whole month rather than a single post
  • A mobile app, because most approvals happen away from a desk

Thank You

To everyone who tested this, sent us feedback, or told us plainly when something was bad: thank you. A lot of what shipped today exists because someone took the time to explain why the old version was annoying.

We are trying to build something for people who have something to say and no interest in becoming content marketers. If that is you, we would like to hear what we still get wrong.
